Operation hours

Kobe Cream Puff open 7 days a week except second Wednesday of each month.

The operation hours are as below:

Weekdays: 11:00 am – 8:30 pm

Weekends and Public Holiday: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

We might close earlier than the time stated if all puffs of the day are sold out.

Off day of the months:

December 08 - 10 December 2008(off day)

January 09 - Regarding January off day, we will not close until Chinese New Year.
26, 27 & 28 January 2008(off day)

3 Months Operation

Kobe Cream Puff is stepping into 4th month operation from tomorrow 1st December 2008. A new taste Green Tea will be released at the same time. It is glad that Kobe Cream Puff is celebrating second celebration of the year, Christmas since Hari Raya after started the business operation with our dear customers.

There are decorations of Christmas in the shop to welcome Christmas season recently. Cream puffs are very suitable dessert during this season. The icing powder on the cream puff seems like snowing when the staff spreads on it. It is nice to be presented to friends or relatives during this season. This year our customers can have something different while having Christmas celebration.

Green Tea Cream Puffs

Currently Kobe Cream Puff has two choices of the fillings for the cream puff, Classic Vanilla and Cappuccino. Customers can choose the desired fillings then the staff will fill it into the puffs on the spot. They can have the mixture of different flavours to the cream puffs when they purchase in a set order as well.

A new flavour Green Tea cream is coming to Kobe Cream Puff on 1st December 2008. The fillings of Green Tea Cream Puff are refreshment for our regular customers. It is a mild green tea taste with the combination of the orthodox skin cream puffs.

The pricing is which is same as Classic Vanilla and Cappuccino.

The Only ONE in the World

Why should I say that every single puff that customers purchased is the only one in the world?

The puffs as well as the fillings which sell in Kobe Cream Puff are all handmade from the beginning until the end of the process. Some customers might wonder why there are some looks cuter but some are normal. As in my formal blog, I explained the puffs are like the growth of a human being. There are the existences of fat, slim, tall or short among human being. It is really interesting if you examine carefully in every single minute of their changes.

No Frozen Dough, No Preservatives

Kobe Cream Puff does not use any frozen dough and preservatives throughout the whole baking process. This is our promise and trust to the customers. We hope that every customer can enjoy the just made cream puffs compare to those reheat frozen puffs. Our fillings are also made on the day as well so that the customers can enjoy the fresh puffs with fresh fillings.

What is a Cream Puff??

Many people might wonder what a cream puff is. Is it same like curry puff, chicken puff or tuna puff? Cream puff is a type of popular dessert in Japan which is served with different types of cream in the puff. For example, there are strawberry, chocolate, custard, green tea and cappuccino cream. This cream puff is like cakes which we have to serve cold and enjoy in cold. Some customers asked “Why it is not hot?” There are reasons behind it. If the puff is hot and serves with cold cream, it gets rotten easily. Another reason is cream puff is a type of cake so it is best to be served in cold.

Orthodox Skin

I would like to explain the type of the skin for our cream puffs. Kobe Cream Puff skin is called orthodox style skin which is a very classic Japanese style cream puff. There many different types of cream puff in Japan. For example there are hard, soft, crispy types with many different flavours and toppings. Kobe Cream Puff is considered a hard type with slightly crispy skin. The cream that we use for the fillings of the cream puffs is called diplomat cream. This is more than custard or fresh cream fillings.

Some people who prefer more crispy skin might not enjoy our cream puff. We do not make it very crispy so that there is a different touch when customers bite it. At first, it is slightly crispy. At the second bite, customers will feel the softness in the cream puff. The cream in the puff will spread slowly when you bite more and more.

Optional Ice Pad

New Menu


People might wonder what the ice pad is for the cream puffs. Cream puff is actually very sensitive for the heat and has to keep at the cold place. The ice pad is an add-on option for the customers who have to carry our puffs in outdoor condition more than one hour. This ice pad will help to keep the puff in cold condition so that can prevent it from getting rotten.

We do not add any preservative for the cream itself. Therefore, the condition of the cream will easily change and become rotten. We really advise our customers to get an ice pad if there is any necessity. We charged RM 1.00 for each optional ice pad.

Consecutively 3 Days Sold Out (8,9,10 Oct)

There were not much people hanging around like normal weekdays in Centre Point. It was quite silent in the day time which looks so abnormal after Hari Raya. Our sales were slow until evening time. Suddenly many customers gathered and we could sell quickly.

On 8th October 2008, we baked quite an amount of cream puffs which is more than usual. Many of our regular customers came on today. They bought set order and said so tasty. The main reason they like the cream puff is the cream is not so sweet. One of our customers bought one and ate immediately after he left our counter. He returned to us after 10 minutes and straightly bought 4 pieces. We were so glad to see our customers can enjoy our cream puffs.

On 9th October 2008, we displayed the puffs counter when the puffs only 21 pieces left. A few groups of customers came and bought the set order. At last, it turned out only 3 puffs left. I was wondering if there was customer who wanted to get one set of cream puffs then what should I answer. Fortunately, there were two groups of customers who bought 2 pieces and 1 piece separately. At the end of the day, our shop sold out by selling the last puff to a lovely customer.

On 10th October 2008, we prepared more cream puffs compare to the day before. Most of the customers ordered the set order and bought classic vanilla and cappuccino flavour. There were groups of Japanese tourists who stopped at our shop. They felt so excited to see cream puff in Malaysia. The response from them was so good. They bought more than 10 pieces of puffs and enjoyed at the coffee shop beside us. They returned to our counter after they ate our cream puffs. They asked us to take photo together with them so that can show to their friends after return to Japan. Our taste is approved by Japanese as well; we feel so happy over it.

Is It Suitable for Vegetarian??

There are two customers who came and asked us whether our cream puff is suitable for vegetarian or not. We do not use any animal fat, meat as our ingredients. However, we do use eggs and cow milks as a part of the ingredients. It is hard to decide whether it is really vegetarian food or non-vegetarian food. It is depends on the personal definition of “vegetarian”. We do hope that our cream puff is suitable for everybody and everyone can enjoy it.

SAYONARA Mini PUFFS

Since October we do not provide any mini puffs as free sampling for our customers. Most of the customers understand the taste after we operated for one month. Recently, our customers prefer to buy our cream puffs in set order. During the first month, many customers bought one piece as a trial for them before further purchase. We are so happy that our cream puff has been approved by the customers. Our customers came back to us and bought set order and spread among their friends as well. Thank you very much!

The outlook of mini puffs are so cute after decorated with icing sugar. Many female customers cannot resist from it. Some customers even asked me whether we do sell the mini puffs or not. It is good for kids or easy to eat in one bite but that is only use for sampling and cream testing. I am afraid that our customers never feel satisfy with one mini puff if we really sell this product.

Sold Out at 6pm on Sunday (21 Sept 2008)

We started to distribute free sampling with mini size puff to our customers since yesterday. The response was quite good. This is a good idea to let our customers to test it first before they decide to purchase it. All of the customers liked our cream puff after they had tested our free sampling mini puffs. Some of the customers failed to eat our cream puff in one bite. As a result, the cream spread out from the puff and dropped on shirt or floor. Therefore, we strongly recommend our customers to finish in “One Bite” and have the real taste of our puff.

Cream Puffs Family

Today our friends came to help us as a “promoter” in front of our counter. They bought cream puffs and white coffee from us and enjoyed in front of our counter. After all, they helped us to take order and promote our cream puffs to the customers. So we could prepare the order one by one smoothly. Thank you so much.

These two days our cream puffs were sold out so quickly compare to last two weekends. Today we closed our shop at 6pm because all cream puffs sold out. In the evening time, there was a Japanese couple who came and wanted to buy 16 pieces of cream puffs. Unfortunately, we only had 15 puffs left as our stock for this evening. So we were able to sell the remains cream puffs to them. At the last moment, there were still some customers making queue at our counter. So we packed the mini cream puffs in 4 pieces per pack and sold at RM 1.00. It was quick to sell mini cream puffs as well; we could sell it within 10 minutes.

We feel glad to see our customers enjoy our cream puffs. It is really happy to see their satisfaction for the cream puffs.

Halal Ingredients

We are using Halal ingredients for our cream puff, fresh local eggs, non-alcohol vanilla essence and fine flour from bakery dealer.

Some of our Muslim customers might wonder whether we are using the Halal product or not. We do use Halal ingredients so that everybody can enjoy our cream puffs without any worries. During this Puasa season, our cream puffs are suitable to serve during Buka Puasa. We advice our customers to put in the fridge and serve in cold during Buka Puasa. The taste is different again from the just baked cream puff which the cream is melting like ice-cream in your mouth.

New Flavour Released

We just released a new flavor which is “CAPPUCCINO” for our cream puffs. This is a rich cream with cappuccino taste for those who love coffee. The taste is different from the regular classic vanilla which as our basic flavor. This cream suits with a cup of hot coffee and enjoy with your beloved or family.

The price for one piece of Cappuccino cream puff is same with the classic vanilla which is RM 2.60. Combination order with classic vanilla cream puff is also available when you take the 4 pieces set order. This can let our customers to enjoy both tastes at the same time.

Cream Puffs


Someone might wonder how the puff looks like before it is baked. It is interesting to see the baking process of puffs in the oven. All of the raw puffs look alike to one another after squeeze on the baking plate. During the baking process, the shape of the puffs starts changing. It is like the process of how human beings grow up in the same environment. They are provided with the same temperature, ingredients, size and environment in one same oven. The growth of each puff changes in certain points. Some puffs look like wearing a cap on the head; some are fat and short whereas some are tall and slim. It seems like human beings in physically as well. Day by day as time passed by, we know how the puffs’ “characters” are.

11th Day

This is the 11th day since the first day of operation. Our operation and routine go more smooth compare to the first day of our job. We can manage the things efficiently so far and utilize our ability to settle the problems.

The most important thing for our shop now is to advertise the existing of Kobe Cream Puff in Centre Point Palm Square. After 11 days of operation, there are still not much people know about this shop yet. Some of the customers are still giving us a first trial. Hopefully, by the end of the month much more people will know the first Kobe Cream Puff shop in Borneo.

10th September 2008

It was quite boring and not much people hanging around in Centre Point this morning. At first, we were worried about today sales. Luckily, in the afternoon our Japanese customers came and supported us. It was really quick sales. They tested 1 piece at the counter then shouted “Oishii!!! (Yummy!)” then they decided to buy a lot to distribute to family and friends. It is a very good advertisement for us as well. Thank you very much!

Mostly everyday there are a few puffs left at the end of the day which the amount is not enough to sell to customers. There was a guy came and wanted to buy 4 pieces of puff yesterday. Unfortunately, we just had two more puffs left. We felt so sorry for him that only could get two puffs because he couldn’t share with another two friends who came along with him.

Operation Hours

Starting from 9 September 2008, our opening hours is from 11 am until 9.30 pm during weekdays; 10.30 am until 9.30 pm during weekends and public holiday. If the cream puffs are sold out, the counter will close earlier than the time stated. Please come and get our fresh cream puffs at your desired time.

Some people might wonder why we open at such late time. The process to produce the first cream puff on the day takes us about two hours everyday. It is because we do not use any frozen dough or frozen cream from the day before. Therefore, Kobe Cream Puff is called a just made healthy cream puff which is suitable for everybody.

8th September 2008

Today is Monday which is considered most tire day with low tension mood for working adults and students. Not much people hanging around in Centre Point as compare to the weekend. It will be a long day for us today.

6th September 2008

This is the first weekend after Kobe Cream Puff started its operation. It has been a very busy weekend for two of our shop staff. We really feel happy and thankful to our customers who tried our cream puffs. It is so happy to see our customers’ smile and node while having our puffs.

Lately, we released “Cold Cream Puff” which is served in cold. When you enjoy the “Cold Cream Puff”, the cream tastes like ice-cream with vanilla fragrance. Most of the customers like the “Cold Cream Puff’ as well. We recommend our customers to keep in fridge after return home if they do not serve immediately.

Today is quite a long day of our business operation. There are many different types of customers who came to our shop. Some customers become our regular customer already; parts of customers give their first trial to us. One of my customers said that “My mum fall in love with it already”. Whereas another customer comment is “I love it so much and share with my friends”. We feel so grateful for the people who appreciate our cream puff. There were very meaningful comments for us.

At the end of Saturday operation, we still had 5 pieces of cream puffs left. Fortunately or unfortunately to say, there were two groups of the customers came at the same time. Both groups of the customer requested to purchase 4 pieces each. This is the crucial moment for us, we feel so sorry for our customers. So at last one customer could get 4 pieces and the other customer could get 1 piece only. Start from today we have to serve more puffs to our customers…

3rd Day of Operation

We started business operation for Kobe Cream Puff from 1st September 2008. We are so happy to see the smile of customers.

Most of the customers gave the first trial to our cream puff. And most of the reactions were quite good. Mainly our customers are working adults and youngsters. We are thinking the way to attract kids and family to our shop.

KOBE CREAM PUFF
Cream puff is one of the most popular sweets in Japan. It enriches your tea time with your friends and family. There are many kind of cream puffs in Japan. For example, soft skin, hard skin, pie skin with custard cream, whipped cream containing different flavours.

Kobe Cream Puff is a cream puff with slightly crispy skin and rich melty cream. Skin is freshly baked on the spot; the cream is homemade with special taste. We do not use any instant custard powder. Preservation is not used during the making process so that customers can always enjoy fresh and healthy cream puff. Kobe Cream Puff contains less sugar so that it is suitable for all range of the ages from kids to senior people.
